IT'S TIME TO AUDIT TRICARE!
Our Military Deserves More Than Broken Promises & Backroom Deals
There is a shocking truth about TRICARE, America's military healthcare system funded by hardworking American taxpayers. When it comes to some of the most commonly prescribed generic medications, our nation's military is paying hundreds of times more for prescription drugs than if military beneficiaries went to their local pharmacy of choice.
Why is this happening?
Our veterans, active-duty military, and their families deserve better. They were promised access to affordable, high-quality care, and it’s time to ensure they’re getting what they deserve.
We need answers. Congress must conduct an independent audit of TRICARE. Holding the system accountable isn’t just fair; it’s necessary to protect the integrity of the care provided by those who sacrificed so much for this country.
It’s time to uncover the truth and take a stand. Our heroes deserve nothing less.

We believe DHA's exclusive contract with Express Scripts may be harming Tricare beneficiaries, independent pharmacies, and American taxpayers. Anti-competitive gaming is particularly evident in Tricare.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), & Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) June 2024
They [independent pharmacies] want to be able to provide medicines to these communities. And it was challenging to walk away from TRICARE, but it was also pretty clear from how bad the contract was that reimbursement wasn’t sustainable. At some point, you can’t send every prescription out the door with a five-dollar bill attached to it.
Brian Hose, CEO EPICRx July 2024
Since the DHA granted Express Scripts its exclusive TRICARE contract in 2009, the company has consistently leveraged its market power to squeeze independent pharmacies and steer TRICARE beneficiaries to their own mail-order pharmacy and used other tactics to increase costs for service members and taxpayers.
Congressional Letter to TRICARE on Express Scripts June 2024
I can’t even get transparency from them [Express Scripts]. I want to audit the TRICARE PBM – at least we can eat our own dog food, right? Can we at least audit our own PBM in a confidential way, figure out what’s in the black box?
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) May 2025
